Classical Music rocks too....

And for some reason every time I hear this version the room suddenly becomes very dusty. A tragic loss of a sublime talent.

Some composers go out of their way to make music impossible to play and yet somehow fail..... :)

It can be embarrasing as an atheist to admit how much I love this stuff... :)

I fell in love with J Dp the first time I saw her and the second time when she started to play...a godess of music.

It can't get much better than this..... the beautiful Nicola Benedetti.

A particularly well played version too.... Add to this his wonderful ballets Romeo and Juliet, Swan Lake, The Nutcracker... amazing.
Zero Alpha goes out marathon training on a Sunday morning with Alien Minor 2*. After I've popped along for the paper (on the phone it will probably be Uriah Heep, Salisbury or Black Sabbath, Paranoid) at not-quite-so-early o'clock, I have a couple of hours to myself.

First up will be Tchaikovsky, Piano Concerto Number 1 in B Flat minor, then a selection of:
  • Marche Slave
  • Romeo and Juliet
  • 1812
  • Nutcracker (not Firecracker, you stupid fúcking cúnting twátting speelchucker)
Then I'll ask for more like this. This morning I got Bolero (Ravel) followed by Grieg's Piano Concerto (I defy anyone not to think "I'm playing all the right notes, just not necessarily in the right order"). Prokofiev's Dance of the Knights is a regular (fine, even if it introduces The Apprentice, cos it's what Sunderland nil come out onto the pitch to).

*This year's Moonwalk got culled. Thanks Covid. And those who sponsored her. Hopefully 15 May 21.
