Christmas Charity Auction - Combat Stress - Welsh Whisky - ends 21/11/2020

Well @ste14w .
I'm having a pint of Blandford Fly from the Badger brewery.
You've said you don't drink anymore, so I'm having one for you.

Thank you very much... I honestly can't find the right words.. If it was the NAAFI I'd be sweary and call you a soppy cnut but I can't.
This is what the ARRSE community is all about I think. I'm just stunned tbh. Really really just gobsmacked by your gesture.

Dear Mrs GRB
Thank you for your kind gift of £55.00. Your support will help more veterans rebuild their lives with the specialist treatment they so desperately need.
We are incredibly grateful for your generosity and for helping us be there for the veterans who turn to us.
Thanks to you we can be there for more veterans like Aeran, who after treatment from Combat Stress was able to make huge improvements to his life:
"Combat Stress has completely turned my life around. I’ve gone from a place of having no hope and no purpose to having the fire in my belly again."
We aim to continue to be world-leaders in veterans' mental health and this is only possible through the generosity of our supporters like you.
We'd love to keep you updated about our work. If you would like to hear more from Combat Stress or change your preferences in anyway, please fill in our preferences form at combatstress.org.uk/preferences
Thank you for making a difference to veterans’ lives.
Best wishes

Now who's being a soppy cnut? :)
We were, or are, all service personnel in one way or another, and the bond that holds us together then and now is what sets us apart from the self serving little herberts currently being offended by everything.
Of course, it helps that I'm a former Hussar, which sets me apart from mere mortals...so enjoy your ale tonight, and your whisky when it arrives is a reminder of the kindness that you showed.

Mr. GRB now muttering into his gin about Donkey Wallopers, and quoting fractions at me.

Now look what you've done!!!

You're not the twat who tried to squash me with a Chally 2 on SPTA in 1993 are you?

Apart from those ********* in C Sqn, obviously.
Well as we were both members of D Sqn, that goes without saying, Mr. Arg.
After all these years I still never found out what C sqn were actually for.
Apart from taking the pi55 out of.

Ha, no, because I wouldn't have missed.
I was in 37 sigs by that time.

Slightly off thread.. Chally boss was apologetic. Driver was giving us ****** hand signals.

They trundled away in a hail of mini flares which ignited the kit they had stashed on the top of their tank.

They wouldn't have been bothered about the kit, as long as their beer didn't get warm.

Always aim for the red hat. Keeps them on their traffic-duty toes.
I always aimed for the infantry, on the basis that if I got an entire section, at least one of them would have been with the gang that gave us a kicking down Babies Bar.
