Christmas Auctions - asking for items ... again

#1
I know it's only a few weeks ago when I was asking you all to have a look for items for the Combined Auctions
for the benefit of the RBL Poppy Appeal and Holidays4Heroes.
And it might be overconfident to ask for even more items now.

But those of you who are around for a couple of years will know that we always had some sort of
'All Be Over By Christmas' Auction Campaign.
These auctions are held primarily to make sure that those who have just gone through the most horrible time in their lives anyway
will have at least a chance to celebrate Christmas.

The money we can raise in these auctions will help us to provide contributions to servicemen and ex servicemen
who are simply unable to provide for themselves or their families.

And it has become some sort of tradition to give vouchers for toys to all our children.
These children had to cope with substantial changes in theirs lives
and we can only try to brighten up their day just a little bit for a moment.
But at least they will know the rest of the world hasn't forgotten about them.

Therefore we are begging for items that we can auction !

Clearly the more valuable or interesting the better but if you've got something that you think will raise money
then please contact me on Hols4Heroes@gmx.net with the details.
We'd also ask that anyone donating an item be prepared to send it directly to the winning bidder.

Let me quote Hols4Heroes words from last year
In the past we have provided vouchers for those less fortunate for more reasons that you can think about.

We've provided those who are unable to put a Christmas dinner on the table with vouchers for Tesco and Asda etc.

We've provided some of our older and some of our more desperate former colleagues with money to enable them to pay gas / electric bills, instead of sitting in the dark and cold over the festive season.

And please bid on the items to help !

The auctions will start on Monday the 28th of November and all will end on Thursday the 8th of December 16:00 hrs UK time.
So if you want to use any item as a Christmas gift, it should be with you well in time.

Thank you all for your support !!

Tried your linky but computah sez no.

I have 12 Chieftain tanks, brand new, and a few "previously enjoyed" 432's.

Patently not real, as the postage would be a bit steep.

The Chieftains are plastic toys, about HO/OO scale
The 432's are old Airfix plastic ready-built toys

I'll chuck in a landrover in the same scale.

So, a BAOR era tank squadron, Just tell me where to post it?

Vintage toy tin tank. A similar one is up on eBay now for £45.

Tin Tank.JPG

Not really suitable for a kid since it is vintage, and its made of tin. The friction motor works a treat. Make a good 'ironic' present for a Tankie or anyone who collects tin toys. Here it is. It is in better nick than the eBay one.
