Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Woops!! Old news but updated to say that it was shot down by Terry

    Linky

At last I can do "linkys", but c*cked up the story. What a mong!

  2. Fucks sake I thought that was another one.

  3. So, the only reason the crew could land this cab was because, by sheer luck, it had an experimental engine fit.
And the rest of the fleet won't be upgraded to 2011?

What's to boast about here? The fact that an experiment worked, or the fact that there's no urgency in upgrading the others or replacing lost airframes?

  4. Can I Publicly apologise for saying the pilot was a ****** for steaming the bird in! :D

  5. Certainly not the number on issue to British Forces in Afghanistan compared to the number provided to similar sized US formations....

  6. BBC/Pravda report on this http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/8273191.stm

It appears that some of the upgrade is the 'ghost fleet'. I sense even more delays in integrating already duff software with the new engines.
