Cheating Foreigners in Football - is it a "Cultural" thing, or are we "Racist"?

#1
Taken from the BBC website:

A major analysis of referees' decisions in the Premier League has shown that officials are around 15% more likely to book foreign players who are from the same background as the most sizable ethnic minority groups in the United Kingdom, according to a study by the universities of Birmingham, Oxford and Cambridge.

The analysis by researchers used the extensive in-match dataset collected by Opta Sportsdata for the 2006-07 and 2007-08 seasons covering 760 games in total.

It may be that more of them are booked, but is that becuase where they come from cheating is just another part of the game, or is it because our referees are inherently racist?

I suspect it is the former rather than the latter. What do Arrsers think?

Quote Schweik: "Is that because where they come from, cheating is just another part of the game, or is it because our referees are inherently racist?" Of course it's nothing to do with origin, or where they live and whether people are like this at home. You'll be called racist and hammered for suggesting such behaviour is down to any particular race. All referees are racist. FFS get on message.

They cheat at Cricket as well and that just isn't on.

And all the world over, each nation's the same
They've simply no notion of playing the game
They argue with umpires, they cheer when they've won
And they practice beforehand which ruins the fun

Dirty cheating bastard foreigners. They can't help themselves. They should look at the likes of Franny Lee, Ashley Young and Wayne Rooney to see how the honest English play the game.

Yeah, those foreign bastards cheating at cricket! They actually go out and win against the best team in the entire World (England) and don't even let them play in the finals!

(Is Andy Murray classed as foreign? He is, after all, ******* up the notion that we are a nation of gallant amateurs against the nasty people who don't believe that taking part is the fun, not the winning. And as for those horrid Ryder Cup golfers....best we go back to making it GB v USA without those rotten foreigners and we can get back to doing what we do best - losing and keeping a stiff upper lip----all this bloody crying, like St Hildas v Croydon Girls school!)
At least the England football team won't let us down and will carry on getting knocked out in the second round of whatever cup they are playing in. What next? Practising penalties?
