Cheap Travel in Canada

#1
I've been very interested in moving to Canada after my service is complete either to join the Canadian Army or try my hand at something new.

To convince the wifey that this is a good idea she (we) want to come over and test the water, I've got the indulgence flight info and yes I know that I'll have to pay for my own flights if non are available.

I seem to remember that you used to be able to book cheap accom in Calgary, Edmonton etc at a travel centre in BATUS, is that still there? Have they still got a web page etc?

Thanks very much in adv.

I think you need to be posted in or exercising to get the discounts from the General Fund. You can get just as good, often better, discounts by booking yourself and asking for military or government rates.

I'd listen to him, he's in pre-med.

But seriously Transat/Canadian Affair is hard work for 9 hours. I'm 6ft and it killed me. Air Canada you pay more but even in cattle class it is nice.

You can buy airport lounge access at Calgary, worth it as there is little to do at the airport.

Downtown Calgary is dull. The police are very nice.

Go with BA. It's normally about $30 more and the staff less surly.

But Guns is right. Downtown is dull town, go to 17th ave.

As for the coppers. Shout "facists" as you pass them. They love it.

Forgot about BA. Yep they are good. I flew business and well worth it, you can even choose male or female staff for your post lunch blow job.

As for the coppers I understand they like to be kissed on both checks per the French style. German style of three kisses really does not work.

If you get a motor home see if you can get a truck and 5th wheel. If you go for a motor home then each time you drive anywhere you have to pack up and move.

I found at the budget level go for Best Western. Cheap prices, good rooms and free wifi.

Get yourself an unlimited bus ticket (I think the one my brother used was for 4 months) and ride around the country - stopping off at the cheaper/budget hotels.

I've been to Ottawa a dozen times..... it has a lovely vibe, I could live there.

Torontistan is very similar now to London but on a vast sprawling scale.

One of my friend's buddies moved to BC.... he says property prices are so crazy, he'll never be able to buy.

Sexmad young ladies in Calgary, we had one housesit for us on Bribie Island, 29 years of age a buxom wench, she came highly recommended , in our 8 weeks absence she shagged most of the single men on the island and a few of the married ones, when we returned home, she had already left, the house was in shit state, our kingsizebed was was knackered ,but one consolation prize she left us a home made porno on my computer, the things that young lady could do with cucumbers and bananas were mind boggling, she had the cheek to phone and ask for a reference

put it up then. or still photos at least. summers coming up and fruit and veg/ladies ideas are always handy.

sensible part: i looked into a cross US/Canada trip 2 years ago. One plan I thought was good was to fly to East Coast USA and then take train/bus etc into Canada. An overnight one(s) would save you a night's accomodation.
May well not suit this plan as you are focused on Canada but could be of interest to others. Out of season you can get flights to East Coast for dirt cheap. Just out of interest I searched the cheapest and mid range etc. I think I found some cheapos for about £200/300 rtn! In a proper little seat, not in the hold either. May have been to Boston. Halifax is also quite cheap too. The train tickets across US were so cheap summat like £200/300 rtn across with unlimited stops. Canada probably has some good rail bargains and ...what a journey it could be!!! Booking any of this travel in advance will save you money of course so get your head set and book it up.
