I'm arriving into London Heathrow at about 21:30 Wednesday. I need to get to Battersea not far from Clapham Junction. ANyone know of a pre-book taxi which wont take my eyes out? I would rather take the tube than hail a black cab.

Heathrow express to Paddington tube to vic (Circle I think) and train from vic to battersea. all under 30 sobs I would hope.
  3. Sobs would be right, there's **** all cheap in London. (I can't do bold)
  4. Or bus (#285) to Feltham and train to Clapham Junction. Always found that easier to do than traipse through London proper on sweaty tubes etc. Where in Battersea do you need to get to? PM if you want a walk through from there, I used to live a stones throw from Clapham Junction (I know it's a stones throw 'cos I used to throw stones at the station!)

I'm going to the Rafayel hotel on the waterfront
  6. I don't know if you're aware but the hotel has a complimentary shuttle to Earl's Court, Sloane Square and Clapham Junction.

So it's Piccadilly Line from Heathrow to Earl's Court and shuttle to hotel.
  7. I think I'd train it to Victoria and black cab it from there.
  8. The train goes to Paddington. Getting the Tube to Victoria involves a change.
  9. I know, I took that bit as read.
