Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. I am currently writing a number of short articles for my website and I'd like to be able to do so on the train. Could anyone recommend a cheap, light and compact laptop/netbook fit for the purpose. Looking for something really basic, Wifi nice but not essential.
  2. Try the search, loads of threads already.
  3. Acer Aspire One.
  4. That's a wee bit like saying "Ford" though. All of Acer's netbooks bar a few branded specials are Aspire Ones.
  5. Got a Samsung net book with windows 7 can sell it to you for £150 including postage

  6. I have an Acer... I think it's a D255. Dual core atom... Who thought that would be a good idea, eh?
  7. ASUS eepc is a thing of beauty. Light, durable and if you have all your docs and apps cloud-based then you can boot up their alternative OS and get an astonishing length of time out if the battery.
  8. Interesting, what type is it?
