    As we've discussed before, I'm not as bullish about China as many people. China's 'one child' policy will lead to it becoming the first nation in history to become old before it becomes rich. There's also a huge imbalance of males with little prospects of marriage, on top of the creaking banking sector and its non-performing loans, as well as the huge disruption that the rapid transformation from agrarian to industrial economy brings. Personally I reckon China will be too busy trying to sort out its internal problems to rival the US by 2020. On the other hand, there's 1.3 billion of them...
