Douglas Alexander will argue that, 10 years on from the invasion of Iraq, British foreign policy stands at a crossroads. He will contend that, from the rise of China to relations with Europe, UK policy-makers will face very different challenges in the middle of this decade than were evident in the last. He will consider how the UK should best pursue its interests internationally in that new and changing context, and reflect on some of the key foreign policy challenges facing the UK over the next decade.
