  1. The BBC has just had a very emotive 'News' artical on some Great War executions of British Soldiers for Desertion.
Charles Wheeler a senior BBC reporter and ex WW II special forces officer, descrihes how up to 16 Brit troops where executed at Poperingee Belgium by Brit firing squads.
Wheeler interviews two old soldiers of that time, both over 100, one 101 and the second 106.
He showed the condemmed cell and the execution yard still with the Pole showing scars from that era.
The point is made that two soldiers where 17 at time of execution by fireing squad.
Very moving report by a man who's expireanced to know what he is talking about.
