Chaps,

Just got sent this. Although I am sure it has probably been done before, I couldn't find it but thought it would be right to pass the word again.

Help for Heroes

Support for our wounded

www.helpforheroes.org.uk

‘What is Help for Heroes all about? It’s about the blokes. It’s about Derri, a rugby player who has lost both his legs, it about Carl whose jaw is wired up so he has been drinking through a straw. It’s about Richard who was handed a mobile phone as he lay on the stretcher so he could say goodbye to his wife. It is about Ben, Stephen, Andy and Mark and it’s about them all. They are just blokes but they are our blokes; they are our heroes. We want to help our heroes.’ Bryn Parry

Help for Heroes, the new charity formed to support our wounded servicemen and women was launched on 1st October 2007 and needs your urgent help.

Who are we?

H4H is the idea of Bryn and Emma Parry who wanted to do something practical to help the wounded from Iraq and Afghanistan. Volunteers have joined them and the head of the Army, General Sir Richard Dannatt, supports them.

What are they doing?

H4H’s first task is to raise money to help build a swimming pool and gym complex at Headley Court, the tri service rehabilitation centre at Leatherhead.

How can you help?

Ø Go to our website at www.helpforheroes.org.uk read all about what we are doing and then make a donation.
Ø Join the H4H team on the Big Battlefield Bike Ride 26th May to 1st June 2008. Register on line www.helpforheroes.org.uk
Ø Get out there and raise some money. Have a look at the fundraising page on the site for ideas.
Ø Spread the word by passing this on to all your friends

Thank you from all at Help for Heroes ... Thumbs Up!
