Chann5 HD plauge stuff

Perhaps that's for Episode 2, tonight?

Might as well watch Channel 4's series Utopia as well, that's quite timely for a fictional drama series

The Great Plague - Channel 5 interesting some obvious parallels. It will be interesting if they explain why it stopped I have my own theorys

That plague had an IFR of 50%; that's pretty cool. And they deffo died because of it, not with it. 21st Century plagues are so wishy washy.

What's the coronavirus? About 0.02%?

I also enjoyed the fact that the French were blamed for bringing it into London.

I'm less that 10 minutes in to watching that and I can only see this as a load of socialist flim-flam.
The poor were abandoned
The less well paid med staff stayed and attended to the doomed, just like the heroes of today...

I read that as the bacteria killed the rats and bunged up the fleas digestive system it sort of closed its avenues of spreading as rats fleas and people died off. The flea digestive system bit is not widely discussed and I thought it was highly cromulant.

I watched it, but the whole of British history has been shaped by the haves and have nots.

It explains perfectly why the poor were hit hardest (denser living conditions made it easier to share the fleas and lice) and why the more wealthy weren't.

The country has been shaped by this working class/middle class divide; which is why it's reflected in our culture and politics.

I reckon you're being a bit over sensitive. It didn't mention Black lives matter once.

Poor people should learn to not share fleas and lice!

The whole fcuking world has been shaped by the rich/ poor divide, it still is.

And in countries where attempts have been made to redress the balance, everyone becomes poor.

Now, get back to reading your copy of 'Socialist Worker'.

You're like one of those 'anti racists' who see racism in everything.

There's no 'woke agenda' in that plague documentary.

And Sweden has done a pretty good job at redressing the wealth disparity without everyone getting poor.

Racism was mentioned?
Sweden, paradise of grenade attacks and now the rape capital of Europe? Did you hear the one about the Swedish author who received a tax bill for 102% of her earnings....?

I remember the French getting the blame for bringing the plague into London.

Which is a fair one.

Dirty frogs.
