My second post in this forum in the same day. I always leave thinking about finances until the end of the year when it is nearly always too late ! :D

I gather that the government will stop tax relief being given to ones children wef 6 Apr 06 for CGT purposes. This is bad news though I sometimes wonder why I should give my hard earned cash to my sponging children. Nevertheless I suppose it is better giving it to them than to the government as tax.

So, what do any experts recommend ? Set up a quick trust for the under 18s ? Give them the house though keep me as the executor ? With house prices rising and continuing to rise surely now is the time to pass it onto the children therebye avoiding CGT if it is sold in our life time or IHT if we die ?
