CGS:upgrading challenger and warrior.

absolutely if we are talking about the Baltic

not necessarily if we are talking about elsewhere in Eastern Europe.

are they go to stay there forever, Strike isn’t even operational yet
Where . . . exactly . . . are you expecting these Russian forces to arrive "elsewhere in Eastern Europe" ?!

There are very few problems in life that cannot be solved by the correct application of high explosive...
There are two quantities in which high explosives exist: "not enough" and "enough".

There are deranged preverts who claim that it is possible to have "too much". These are evil deviants who are attempting to sap and impurify our precious bodily fluids.

I bet you wouldn't try FOOF, Dimethylmercury and a stable nuclear isomer of mercury as your oxidiser, fuel and something to make the two other stuffs safe(ish) to work with, as seen here:

Oh come on, what's the worst that could... oh, yeah, Stross does sort of point that out, doesn't he?

Loved that story - proper science and rocketry pornography.

maybe ask Ukraine and Belarus
I thought the discussion was in the context of DIRECT relevance to NATO.

No matter how we might/might not, wish it . . . Ukraine, Belarus, Georgia, Armenia, are not (yet) the responsibility of NATO.

The last thing we want is to expand right now.
Especially when you've got states that think joining NATO gives them the backing to kick off with a neighbour.

Ahhh, the Klapötke lab at Munich, and the Kirsch group at the Bergische Universität Wuppertal, will welcome you...

in an crisis the U.K. has to respond to in the future, Strike is likely to be the quickest U.K. armoured response to arrive

Yes, but when ?
There has been a "crisis", of varying degree, and different type, in all four of Russia's "near abroad", Ukraine, Georgia, Belarus (election demos), and most recently Armenia, and "the West", NATO, and specifically the UK, has given them ALL a very noticeable IGNORE !!
