Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. From the makers of the Arrse Mr Potato lapel pin comes a new EOD commission.

Produced exclusivley for the Combined Explosives Exploitation Cell (CEXC) in Iraq. CEXC is made up off Australian, British and American personnel.

If anyone is interested, this will be available for purchase in the New Year.

The scan dose the lapel pin no justice!.

  2. Is that Wedgey thing in the middle, off centre?
  3. Here's the cloth patch to compare with. It is a mixture of US, Australian and British ATO symbols:

  4. Why????
  5. Because the Unit specifically asked for the lapel pins to be produced!.

Do the US have ATOs now? I knew they had EOD Operators (ish)!
  7. Below is a link for the Aussie equivilant of Soldier Magazine.

    A little bit about CEXC.

  8. Yes the Americans have 'EOD Operators' as you say and the Bomb is thier emblom - See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:EOD.gif

    Also see - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bomb_disposal

The Australian AT's wear a differant 'Flaming A' to Briton, and a Master EOD wears it with a Green Laural Wreath, Hense the CEXC Badge.
  9. The whole thing seems very American to me. What next, challenge coins?
  10. Whats American about it?. The design incorporates all three EOD services.

As for challenge coins, we were approached on this idea but there is no plans to produce them.
  11. Line up all the walter mittys, and you can get the A Tp badge as the AS of A canteen as well.

    Lots of luck wearing them.
  12. The walts will want to be quick then, there are only 250 available
  13. Can there be 250 of them?
  14. Millions of them!!! Im waiting for someone to put one on ebay with the SBS/SAS initials next to it :D
