Does anyone know what was the camouflage colours of those Canadian Cent's on the rail flats?

This guy has a few colour photos from the same time period, but the Cents appear to be plain green in the 60s and green/black in the 70s.

Harold A. Skaarup, author of Shelldrake

The Cents in the photo above seem to have a high-contrast two tone scheme, perhaps sand and green or something. I suppose that they could be green/black, and the contrast is just an effect of the light and/or semigloss paint finish.

Photos I've seen my old Regt in the 60s, they were a nice gloss green. What you said about two tone paint, that's the reason I asked, the contrast was so great, I would have been surprised if it was black/green.

Just one of those "what if" ideas. What if we had utalised the Cent as the Israelis did. The basic "chassis" were sound and adaptable. Chieftain gets criticized for its power plant and not much else so we got probably the best tank of it's era off the back of what is acknowledged as the best all round tank design ever.
If we had re-engined the cent with with a decent Diesel power plant as Rea Leaky wanted for the Chief we could have had a cheapo alternative to any T55 or T62. Alternatively we could have had a well armoured tank destroyer/ missile launcher or best of all a premier battle taxi that would have been useful in a lot of scenarios albiet with reduced passenger numbers. You may say I'm a dreamer...
