Breaking on Sky news;
Air raid sirens going off in Northern Isreal.No details or link yet.
I doubt that Hezbollah would lauch their missiles again. From political point of view it would be unprofitable for them.
However, they could attack IDF inside Lebanon but rather later, not now.
Well lets think about this.
We have or will soon have the Lebonise army based along the Litani river, behind them are a fully functional and armed Hezbollah, in front the IDF.
So what exactly is to stop the Hez from launching missle attacks over the heads of the Lebanise soldiers?
In fact if they do so and the IDF retaliate then you have the very real possiblity of Israeli weapons killing Lebonise troops!
So you have the situation of one nationstate attacking another nationstate as opposed to a bunch of terrorists.
The Lebanon government would then be perfectly within their rights to call for help from allied countries (Syria, Iran perhaps) and if that happens then the shite is really going to hit the fan.
You heard it here first folks.
Only a common sense. I suppose that mr.Nasarallah is not a fool at all. He (along wiht Lebanese government) demand two things:
1. A return of all Lebanese citizens that are now in Israeli custody (about 300).
2. Israeli withdrawal from Shebaa Farms.
Israel can demand a formal peace treaty in return. After it would be signed on these terms then any, even insignificant anti-Israel military action would be regarded as a violation of the peace treaty and not doubt Hezbollah would be blamed for it.
So what is the problem for Israel? Tiny Shebaa Farms - 25sq.km. and that's all. There are no problem with Egypt or Jordan (Israel has peace treaties with these countries). So why not to sign it with Lebanon?
Faulty siren,you can take your helmets off now and get out of your bunkers.Talk about overreaction and being quick off the mark.
