Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. More Questions :), on my CBRN course we used two simulants to spray over personnel before entering the test chamber, afterwards under black light it showed up, showing where everyone missed decon drills, any idea which two chemicals this was ? I believe tinopal was one.
  2. It's a while since I was an NBC Instructor (that's how long, evening the name/acronym has changed) however the mix was always CATM (Chemical Agent Training Mixture) and Tinopal. The CATM to simulate the liquid agent and the Tinopal to show whether decontamination had been correctly carried out.
