  1. just a random question, i'll being doing CIC next year, and was wondering how strict they are on kit, specificaly boots. The issue boots give me achilles tendonitis and blisters. But i have a friend in the engineers who bought his own boots and is allowed with them.

    could i get away with them at CIC?

  2. As long as they provide the correct ankle support nobody will get excited.

    And have a suitable heel block for safety purposes on assault courses.

    If you want to wear non-issue boots whilst still under training, you would be well advised to get the MO to issue you a chit stating that you need them for medical purposes.
