Been away for a week and the only cat that's glad I'm back isn't one of ours.

Any idea WTF is going on with Jesus (the cat) ? He's never been the brightest or most agile of beasties.
Recently he's started shouting, like loud distressed cat yowl and seems to be lost right in the middle of a room sometimes. Hearing him, you'd think someone had shut his tail in a door or something, but no injuries or anything. Once he 'finds' one of us, he's fine. Never walks into anything, so he can see, reacts to clicked finger, so he can hear, no sore areas, so not injured, eating and dumping as normal. Been going on for a couple of months now.

Such is the delicacy of feline sensory attributes we cannot shake a stick at. Could even be an infection or summat.
I put down our litter mates 4 years back for similar after trying everything. Vet reckoned it was a DNA fault in the genes.

You need to take the old boy to the vet, buddy. It might not be something all that serious, but it may well be, and I doubt that you'd want him to continue being distressed if it's something that either can be fixed, or (hopefully not) can't be.
