Mm...not so sure.
Our old cat loved to do that, but would also knead with his claws out. Repated ouchs & oaths didn't cause the penny to drop. Eventually I realised the best way was to wear my thickest jumper when he wanted lap time, which I always referred to as "the stab vest".Sunday morning tummy time…View attachment 618821
Yep. Jarvis does that too, hence the duvet is always pulled up to my chin. Our old cat loved to do that, but would also knead with his claws out. Repated ouchs & oaths didn't cause the penny to drop. Probably cost. The last time I took Jeeves when he had a chest/throat infection it was just over £100 for the consultation, a long acting anti biotic jab and 5 day's worth of painkiller and a dosing syringeBest wishes for the old fella.

Why do they continue to prescribe pills, with all the associated problems you describe, and which we have all endured . . . verging on the loss of human limbs/life . . . when a syringe of whatever, could be more easily squirted into the side of their mouths ?!

Where I live in South Liverpool there are only a couple of independent vet practices, mine Woolton Vets are brilliant and one of the vets is specialising in feline medicine. My 16 year old cat was there last week for surgery, under local anaesthetic, and they were brilliant,Probably cost. Individual vet practices just don't have the buying power to get the best discounts from the drug companies.
How long after that was taken did you hear the crash as that glass case and contents were gently shoved over the edge...?From deaths door at the weekend, to ear twitching interest at the world outside the window, Tink is well on the way to a full recovery, due to the Miracle that is Anti Biotics. Thanks all, for your messages of support.
