Today, 1732 hours......called out to a cat which had been impaled on a metal fence surrounding an electricity sub station. Cat reported as not moving. Blimey, this is going to be grisly, I thought. Arrived at the location hoping there wouldn’t be too many onlookers while I got the cat off the spike and checked for a microchip. The ‘cat’ turned out to be a bobble hat!!!! The people who’d called it in had been told, by a neighbour’s child, that it was a cat - and they were mortified that they hadn’t gone over to check before calling. I was just thankful that no animal had been harmed. A good outcome and a good giggle to end a busy week.

Meanwhile on a more serious matter I was confronted with an invader earlier on today, I think this was the recce bod, so D-day will be tomorrow when everyone is sleeping off Saturday nights events:

Talk about quick in my grave, I nipped into the kitchen to put the kettle on, returned 4 minutes later to find:

4 minutes?? Is he on Mogadon (SWIDT)? I only have to get up and walk a yard away and one of 2 of our's will be on my seat.

If I go for a piss in the middle of the night I tend to come back to find one of the little fleabags getting his fat swede down where I was lying, this is despite having a 2.1 square metre bed.
