Found an RTX 2080Ti, with 11Gb of memory, on Ebay starting at 400 quid.

'Tis a "Founder's Edition", so it's made directly by Nvidia themselves.

A third of what it cost new. That's harsh.

What one are you after? The 3080 or the 3090?

3080, higher bandwidth memory ;)

Still not available on the store yet.

I'm upgrading my core system too, Ryzen 3800X, 2TB Rocket NVME, X570 board, 32gb 3600Mhz DDR4.

Time to move on, my trusty old 4770K, GTX 1070, Z97 board, DDR3 rig is showing its age.
Basically reusing my case, 1TB NVME and power supply which are all new.

Looking forward to the new handling of NVME data directly by the RTX amongst other wizardry like PCIe 4.0.

Meanwhile, GTX 1080Ti's - the full fat 11Gb model - are down to £450 cash price at CeX Webuy:

Though they want north of £770 for the RTX 2080Ti. Feck that. Considering that you can buy one now at Ebay for just under £560 plus postage and packing:

Considering what they were at the start of the year for a custom card like that three-fan job from Zotac, that's almost chicken-feed as far as cost goes.

Oh Noes!
Not that I was getting one.

they take the p1ss a lot of the time. the one near me wants the same price for a used One controller as they are new and at several points they've wanted more for used Kindles than Amazone were charging new. *******.

I think a lot of the pricing is relying on people not doing much research and wanting something right now, as the arrse will fall out of the market once the 3-series hit the shelves.

I was planning on getting the 3090, however having read some of the reviews so far it does not seem worth it.
There is a lot of fuss about 8k gaming and whether it can or cannot do it, although I am not looking for 8k, just steady 4k.
There is a lot of information out there at the moment and it is taking a while to filter out the hype and the lies but it is looking like the £1700 RTX3090 is only 10-15% faster for gaming than a £800 RTX3080.

The RTX3080 is a lot more powerful than my current 1080ti though so I think that is where my cash will go.

I have been trying to play Star Wars: Squadrons but it has released on PC with some pretty crappy bugs.
It looks like a pretty good, if shallow space combat sim. EA have added the usual dash of wokeness which seems to be the way whit happens nowadays but ignoring that it is fun, when it works.

It is clearly a console port and PC's are an afterthought but on the whole I think I will be playing it again, once they patch it.

I've got a couple of £10 vouchers for the epic store - when they've got rid of the initial bugs I might take a punt on this. I'm still leathering Division 2 ATM mind. Anyone else playing fancies some multiplayer?
