Captain Tom Moore antics

No bits of old jewellery or millions shovelled down the cellar? It’s just dreadful, bastards.
Just a 10/- note and a half-eaten Penguin biscuit in a tatty handbag. I was robbed!

Well RIP Sir Captain Colonel Sir Tom Moore. Gee a lot of Sirs there...

At 100 his last year was his best, most respect, most dosh, met the Queen, half the paparazzi, most of the army and had a Barbados holiday flying first class, opened 55,000 pre touched Christmas cards and gifts and they wondered why he managed to get Covid-19 on top of pneumonia.. I can't think i'll be remembered in my final year like he will be.

I see the PM suggests we give him the clap at 6pm tonight, not sure that's going to help?

But £32,750,000 later and his followers he was an icon to a lot.... RIP Tom

Also, don't forget to burn your medals or chuck them in The Tyne *. Being a member of Arrse demands a scathing dismissiveness of such gaudy trinkets....especially Campaign medals or, God help you, your LS&GC.

*Other rivers are available.

I can not believe the comments and judgements made on this site in relation to Capt. Tom.
I thought this was for serving and veterans, the ones who have made such remarks were never in the British Army I served in.
How things have sadly changed. Suppose full of snowflakes and jealous sad individuals.
RIP Sir Tom and thank you.

You leave him alone, I too am outraged by some of the disrespectful comments on this thread.

And that Dave Bowie wrote a song about him.

Well said.

I've phoned the digital police to register my distaste at those horrific slurs.

We should meet up and discuss these shocking displays of non military behaviour.

I'd like you to wear an ill-fitting blazer, tastefully adorned with dandruff and a long since disbanded capbadge. Make sure the toe caps of your Clarkes' slip on shoes are bulled and there's egg stains on your regimental tie.

Thanks and I look forward to our future docking session.

Hope someone has sanitised the top drawer in his bedroom, got rid of the porn stash, lube, incriminating letter from Myra Hindley, triple thick condom and the Anne Summers discount card.
Be awful if the family found them first

So do I but pneumonia is a killer by itself, add dash of COVID 19 and I think it’s curtains.
Pull yourself together,man!

That's the connection?
Well really, there was meant to be the humour there, you know the Major Tom song... yes we know he jumped from Captain to Colonel, skipped Major, never went in to space and although the paparazzi hassled him they never wanted to know whose shirts he wears. He never sat in a tin can far above the world and the rest had no connection, but I got the joke!!!!

And that Dave Bowie wrote a song about him.

And when he wasn't even famous then - or been made up to full Colonel, even, as well ! Spooky eh.

That David - always ahead of his time....

As he always said

' John ? I'm only dancing ! '
