Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Can any tax ninjas answer whether my army pension commutation lump sum will be subject to Capital Gains Tax?

    Cheers!

It is definitely not subject to CGT.

  4. Definately not - but I heard that Lib Dems wanted to start taxing the lump sum if they had of been elected (tw@ts!)

  5. Many thanks, looks like I can look forward to sleeping safe on my pile of dubloons after all!
