Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Can anyone identify this badge please? It looks similiar to the Yorkshire Dragoons' badge but with the addition of the scroll at the bottom. When was this one in use? Marked 'JR Gaunt London' on the reverse.

  5. You can have the STAB badge if you like :)

  6. Wasn't it also the Yorkshire Brigade when the Inf were screwed around from 1957 - 1964 or so? Similar to the Crucified Moose of the Highland Bde, and the badges of the Mercian Bde, Home Counties Bde, Fusilier Bde etc...

  7. Ah yes, just Googled the Yorkshire brigade and badge is a match. This was their OR badge from 1958 to 1970. Thanks very much guys!
