Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Just got word that another Canadian has been killed in Afghanistan in a LAVIII roll-over. Apparently the soldier was from 2 RCR (Royal Canadian Regiment), however no name released as of yet. Four other Canadians were injured in the rollover, but no life-threatening injuries are reported.

    Condolences to the bereaved.

  2. My thoughts are with those who grieve and the injured.

  3. Yeah Unlucky dude! See you on the otherside! RIP

  4. :( Sad loss

    RIP

  5. The deceased soldier has been identified as Pte. Braun Scott Woodfield, 24, from Victoria, British Columbia.

    The injured soldiers are:

Sgt. Tony Nelson MacIvor, 31- Fredericton, N.B.
Cpl. James Edward MacDonald, 32 - Pembroke, Ont.,
Cpl. Shane Dean Jones, 31 - White Rock, B.C.
Pte. Paul Shaver - London, Ont.

It should be noted that all of the wounded were medevac'ed by US forces via helicopter (Thanks for the choppers, Mr. Dithers!). Truly a sad loss. A thank-you to our American cousins for being there when we needed them and answering the no-duff call.

  6. Oh Jesus, when will all this end!!!!!!!! May God have mercy on all of them!!!!!
