can somone please identify this man and his unit.

  1. Can anyone identify this man (its my old man) who i believe served with what is now known has the Raf regiment during national service.

  5. yeah sorry dumb question really yea its my ol man, all i remember him saying he was in the raf i just wanted clarification on the cap badge i.e was it a general service cap badge or somthing?

  6. It's a standard crab badge on a coloured disc backing - colour dependent on training school or recruit squadron.

    It was taken in the winter, looking about north west, at about nine in the morning.

  9. RAF Wilmslow at a guess, as it was the main SofRT.
  10. A sharp breeze left to right hence the slight off-placement of the buckle. Only way to explain such a mishap on a very smart RAF Regiment chap, even during National Service days. Did I mention that he looks like your Dad?

    Tie on the piss
    Belt buckle not centered
    Boots haven't seen a lick of polish in a year or so
    Ill fitting uniform

    Has the makings of RAF all over it.
