Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Looking for a new Dentist and need some help. I don't fancy going to the butcher my other half goes to.

    Cheers :D

  2. I've heard there are now Polish practices that are very good and have filled a gap in the market (poor pun I know) but don't have any details. I think they are very new practices.

How about a bit further out? South Queensferry etc?

    Sorry not much help :(

  3. Cheers, S.Queenferry is fine by me :)

Earl Grey Street (south end of Lothian Road) has the City Health place which is supposed to be good and there's also the new place which has just opened across the road next to Tescos. Worth a shot?

  7. Oh you mean the ones my ex wife didn't knock out??? :D

The ones you saw are actually lollipop sticks done with gloss paint :D

No point going on Lonely Hearts now that everyone thinks I'm a gummy bear :D :D

Back to trawling Wester Hailes, Granton and Leith I suppose....

  11. LVH,

For what it's worth, the two I can recommend are:

One Family Dental, 1 Miller Street, Morningside - I have been a patient there and am happy with them. It takes NHS patients and still had space on its books for new patients the last time I heard,

and Dr Tooth, aka Fairmilehead Dental Practice, 6 Oxgangs Road (not far from Redford and Dreghorn) http://www.drtooth.co.uk/
I know them but have never been treated there. A friend of mine, however, whose father is was a tutor at a dental school tells me the senior partner there is reputed to be the best in edinburgh.
