Cake or biscuit ( no not jaffas but VAT)

  3. But why should only manufacturers and shops such as Tunnocks and M&S be getting the VAT back? What about the consumer? Perhaps the purveyors of teacakes should now reduce their prices for a period of 3 years or so in order to compensate regular purchasers and thereby disburse the money that they will be receiving back from the Government. If they don't, would they have actually defrauded the public of 17.5% of every teacake sold? I think it may be time to march on Westminster...
