An analysis of footprints left at crime scenes showed the shoes to be the footwear of choice for more than 50% of burglars.
Maybe it's just one guy with Reeboks who does 50% of the crime.

I actually thought this stat was interesting:

The cost of trainers worn by unemployed burglars was £67 on average, while the average cost of those worn by burglars with jobs was £48.
I wonder if a study of the footwear of so-called 'poor' people and so-called 'middle class' people would throw up similar results.

I reckon it would because the working classes are too busy paying bills and clothing their children appropriately to spend silly money on trainers once a month.

Somebody has been paid to come up with, burglars wear, (I have a pair of black ones :( ) cheap, there 30 quid, last a long time, none flashy trainers???

When someone signs on at the dole office then they should hand in any trainers in their possession and be issued with brown circa 1950's issued bisleys until they have gained employment.
