    From the Beeb;

    A British soldier has been wounded in southern Iraq, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) has said.

    It is understood the soldier was injured while patrolling the Ashar neighbourhood in the centre of Basra.

    A spokeswoman for the MoD confirmed a UK soldier had been injured but said the ministry was awaiting further details of the incident.

    The number of British troops killed so far in operations in Iraq rose to 134 last month.

    Private Johnathon Wysoczan, 21, from The Staffordshire Regiment, was the last to die on 4 March after being critically injured on patrol in south Basra.

    In February the government said troop numbers would be cut from 7,100 to 5,500 this year

    Get well soon mate!
