British on Iraq/Iran border

Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. That should have been done on TELIC 1. Sadly, we were too much in a rush to get the "aren't we great humanitarian photo opportunities" in. Mind you, with DFID not playing ball in the early days, the UN being nowhere, no wonder we had to do everything.
  2. Lovely. So they're fencing up a PVCP that the smugglers know about. How about the other several hundred miles of border which has not so much as a bit of paint on the floor breaking up Iran & Iraq.

Big PR exercise me thinks. Oh and that $300,000 would be better spent on Aviation fuel for Helicopters to fly up and down the borders at night staring into the desert for little RPG carriers!
