british jobs for british workers

The Eurocopter workers in Brasov won't miss out if the government shy away from making a real political decision, they get to upgrade everyone else’s Pumas around the world as well as maintain the Romanian fleet.

If a decision isn't made soon we will end up either leasing choppers, most likely Russian jobbies, or let the lads on the ground rediscover the joys of the heli-bedford.

Leasing helicopters is fine and dandy right up to the point where we have to design and validate a complete new set of defensive aids systems. That costs money, takes time and adds yet another training, logs and contractual system to our fleet.

We need more helicopters but less types!!!

It's not as if AW don't have any work on... the new Lynx contract should keep them busy.

Yes indeed...that was obviously a contract dictated by clear blue water quality, technical excellence and a non-patriotic procurement policy which stands up to even the closest scrutiny.
