The fact that I did exactly the same for another fifteen or so posts would seem to have eluded you ^^
 
Presumably that was a deliberate shoot with plenty of time to aim? Try doing it under time pressure and you'll quickly find yourself in the same position as Churchill (at iirc Omdurman) where he remembers firing a pistol at a charging tribesman but nothing at all happening to the target.

Trying to remember, something tells me it was with a C96 but it's been a while since I had time to reread the Seven Pillars.
