Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Who will make it into the first team? Who are the certainties, and who are the maybes? Who will miss out? Who has totally blown their chances?

For me the certainties are all Welsh (as am I!):

    15 Lee Byrne
    11 Shane Williams
    10 Stephen Jones
    9 Mike Philips
    7 Martyn Williams
    6 Ryan Jones

But who is on the right wing? Who's in the centre? O'Driscoll? Shanklin? Henson? Roberts?

What about the front 5, where Wales may be less strong?

It will be an interesting pick, thats for sure. What are your thoughts?
  2. Byrne
  3. An interesting choice. To my way of thinking Tait will not make the plane at all. He's cr@p. There will be at least one Welsh centre, probably either Shanklin or Roberts. Henson is too much of a prima donna, which is a shame, because he has (or had) the ability to be world class.

There will certainly be a few Irish players in there. Scotland and England to scrap it out for the last couple of places.
  4. 15 Lee Byrne
    14 Paul Sackey
    11 Shane Williams

    13 Mike Tindall
    12 Brian O'Driscoll

    10 Ronan O'Gara
    9 Mike Blair

    8 Andy Powell
    7 David Wallace
    6 Ryan Jones

    5 Paul O'Connell (capt)
    4 Donncha O'Callaghan or Alan-Wyn Jones

    3 John Hayes
    2 Lee Mears
    1 Andrew Sheridan
  5. With 2 rounds of 6N to go, we are not dealing from a strong hand.
A couple of key injuries - like Dallaglio and BO'D in 2005 - and we could really struggle.
  6. Who is on the selection panel?
  7. Erm, Wasps, Wasps, Wasps, Wasps, and Wales x 3
  8. So, expect Sackey, Lewsey, Cipriani, Shaw and Haskell all to feature.
Plus a large number of fringe contenders from Wales.
