We can help sell toilets, next thing you’ll say is they become full because they’ve no sewers. Sell them the toilets then.
No sewers but have a space programme.

And the canals (which are full of malaria infected mosquitoes, but that's another story).
And they're full of sewage and industrial effluent, too.

As they gained Independence in 1947.... bit of a push to blame the British for all matters of evil in 2020.

What we should do is offer 0.7% of our annual GDP to be spent on one deserving country for 5 years... In return we run your country for 5 years..... no back handers or Presidential Swiss bank accounts.....just families fed, farms that work and wells that are clean and free...... might even throw in some tarmac roads. At the end of 5 years we leave and you will f,k it all up in 6 months.

45 trillion? Look on that as a down payment for all the benefit payments the UK has made to immigrants over the years.

Like the Romanian that sends all his benefit back home to pay for the construction of his luxury house..... if he is hungry, he just steals the food.

One can but hope his relatives back home are just as bent as he is and steal the money he sends back.

It's a family thing..... and the more family he's got the more child benefit he can send back to pay for the construction.

You surely cannot expect Indians to blame Indians for the pathetic state of India's infrastructure?
It's 70 years since the evil British imperialists stopped bleeding the sub-continent dry, the place must be an absolute Utopia/Shangri-La by now, with all that extra money being lavished on it.

Deduct 5000 miles of railway track and it's infrastructure and all the profits from the $830 million tea industry the Britsh set up from scratch.

Plus the number of wives we stopped you spouse arsonists setting fire to.

Almost all of that railway track has been replaced and another 38,000 miles added ,half of it has been electrified.

One cannot consider the laying of rail track as a gift because it was an essential investment, without the railways the empire would not have survived till the 20th century.

An 830 million industry is nothing compared to the geographic and political size of the country. In contrast the Indian government set up the IT industry from scratch, today it contributes 180 billion USD to the Indian economy. The Automotive sector contributes around 118 billion USD to the economy.
