Britain is a model for racial equality - Commission on Race and Ethnic Disparities

My indignation arises from the fact that some people won’t accept the truth.

I find it remarkable that these organisations can presume to speak on my behalf.

I’m content with the report.

You will be further concerned that amongst the signatories condemning the CRED report is actor Riz Ahmed
and Afua Hirsch.

The institutional racism faced by Ahmed allowed him to attend Merchant Taylor's, Christ Church, Oxford and Central School of Speech and Drama.

Hirsch, the darling of the Permanently Offended Wing of the Left, is from an equally disadvantaged background: educated privately at Wimbledon High School and then to St Peter's College, Oxford to read PPE, she later took a Graduate Dip in Law from that bastion of inclusive learning, BPP Law School, a private and for-profit institution:

The debate has touched on what this shower actually want. The answer isn’t so much that they don’t know, more that they know their chosen path can never deliver it.

Most sensible people would reasonably argue that equality can best be achieved by equality of opportunity. The Left cannot bear this concept as by definition, opportunity when taken can generally only result in a positive outcome which of course immediately removes individuals from their client / voter base because they suddenly realise how deeply irritating it is to strive for success only to have the proceeds suborned to fund those who can’t be bothered.

They much prefer equality of outcome because outcomes by definition are either good, bad or no change. This appeals to the Left because if you put in place a flawed plan the latter two are probable for the poor and thus maintains their client / voter base. This has the additional advantage of being able to target the successful and engineer their outcome downwards which of course bolsters their credentials.

Summary: The Politics of Jealousy.

They much prefer equality of outcome

But they don't, they didn't want equality of opportunity before and they don't want equality of outcome (or "equity" as it has been re-branded) now. They want lucrative niches for themselves and to sustain their "industry", that's all they have ever wanted and they are in panic mode now because the grift is being exposed.

The race lobby are not well-meaning people operating in good faith just in a misguided way. They're like a fire brigade that starts the fires to create a need for themselves.

Gobshites, then.

The thing that gets me if Great Britain is so racist, why do people pay people smugglers to travel from Africa and Middle East to desperately try and reach Blighty

Leftys never seem to be able to explain that one, surely if Britain was so racist we won't be a magnet for people not of white anglo saxon origin?

Hmm... f**king obvious if you think about it, all those nice freebies & benefits our govt. is stupid enough to give them. We are seen as the easiest/softest of touches by people around the globe and these incomers happily text/phone all their friends back home telling them of this!!
Our benefit system was a great & valuable asset when it was first introduced. It was an essential SAFETY NET to tide people over after losing a job. Sadly, because pf weak populist kneejerk reactions by politicians of all parties, it has become a LIFESTYLE of choice for the idle/feckless among us, now entering its third generation in some areas.
There should be a time limit put on it when jobs are available but not taken because of pathetic reasons and when a person has refused work, 'cos its not paying enough, too far to go, pathetic excuse of choice. Benefits should be stopped until the person has continued to pay tax/NI for a suitable period.
Incomers of all varieties should A) not be entitled to ANY/ALL benefits of any sort until they have worked & paid tax & NI for at least 5 years.
The same with NHS, ALL incomers/visitors should have to have a valid health insurance before entering and refused entry without one, if they need treatment use that. it would save our NHS a fortune!
This shows what it costs .. Health tourism: serious problem or tabloid creation? - The Lowdown.
snip The 2013 report estimated that ineligible people cost the NHS almost £2 billion a year.
The same with any education, to be paid for by incomer until the 5 yr rule of tax/NI contributions.

Exactly, see under all of my posts
"Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance, and the gospel of envy". Winston Churchill

Seems that would be at the very least a non-crime hate incident on her permanent record, by rights

Surely in the gospel according to political correctness, only white people can be racist

I guess this is the right place for this.

Another example of this country not being the role model it sets out to be.

The 'compo' face means it is all true.

Are black women getting enough support for mental health

Black women are more likely than white women to experience common mental health problems, such as anxiety and depression, according to government figures.

Sectioning powers under the Mental Health Act also disproportionately affect black people.

This is another meaningless but commonly used line - meaningless, in that without some explanation, it comes across as 'just because' and, by extension, yet more institutional racism.

I had a quick Google. There are lots of articles with 'discrimination' in the title - and not as a question but as an assertion. The link below is worth a read, though. It seems that some of the issue is that there's - here it comes again, given recent comments about vaccination - a lot of mistrust of institutions.

In other words, by the time many black people 'seek' help, it's because they're inside the criminal justice system. They're obliged to be helped because they've shunned help.

The extension of that is that a lot of the prejudice comes from those assumed to be on the blunt end of prejudice. But it also means that by the time there are interventions individuals' mental conditions are likely far worse.

Thank you for taking the time to expand the article/point.

The greater point perhaps being the way that 'News' is constantly and constantly dressed up to suit whatever the particular outlet wants to achieve. And is often sucked up and believed to a point we have riots on our streets.

The same "fear and mistrust of authority" that prevents them from getting Covid vaccinations I suppose?

I highlighted that but, yes, an instance of not being able to help those who don't want to be helped - or, rather, who need an inordinate amount of help/resource but blame their own failings on 'racism'.
