Bridge for Heroes dream is so close

Apologies if this has been done, but i can't find any reference.

AMBITIOUS plans to transform an abandoned hotel into free holiday accommodation for war heroes are moving full
steam ahead.
The team behind the pioneering scheme is just weeks away from securing
the former Bridge Hotel in Sutton Bridge as part of a £1.3 million project which would also see the opening of a heavily subsidised gym and cinema and bring much-needed jobs to the area.

"Bridge for Heroes" would offer around 480 servicemen and their families
free five-day weekday breaks at the hotel every year, and create at least 22 full-time and 49 part-time jobs.

The project will discover next month if its government funding bid has been successful, but it may have enough to buy the £400,000 hotel itself after "overwhelming" financial support from businesses and organisations locally and nationally.

Former Gulf veteran Mike Taylor, the man behind the scheme, said: "We
have been trying to get support from the government but the public has
given its support quicker.
