Some interesting commentary about him today on Guido Fawkes. He is being set up, the question is by who?
The Telegraph seems to be acting as one of his cheerleaders - f knows why. Unless it's for the comedy value.

A quick look at Rory boy's policies for Brexit indicates he'd be rapidly be told to talk to the hand by the EU - and destroy the Tory party in the process.

Full of bile, spite anger and bullshiit.....and that's just your post.
Normal jogging.
Not really, halfwit.

As alluded to by @chillsjag r&d staff aren't unionised. They don't need to be, they get paid well and are always in high demand, unlike the production staff.

It's quite easy to move r&d people around since there's a damn sight less hardware involved.

So yes, run down production lines to the end of cycles and move the coveted r&d work to your key market.

No doubt you'll be cheering as the job losses pile up.

Your mindless guff is eclipsed by your willingness to believe anything you are told....well I suppose you believed this and voted remain. You weren't alone though, bless:

Utterly unable to engage with reality

OK brains, I'm not in the industry but couldn't the R&D be scaling down the ICE operation because our glorious government announced that no more new vehicle with ICE will be produced after 2040. Do you think that might have nothing to do with Brexit?
To save you googling like the keyboard mashing chimp you are Internal Combustion Engine = ICE

That doesn't explain why they wouldn't carry out r&d on next generation powerplants in a country with such a strong automotive footprint

Do you deny that we lost jobs when we joined the Common Market, EEC and EU, do you know anything about this country's history?
You posted a random post claiming that in an unspecified area at an unspecified time that the EU caused tens of thousands of job losses with no supporting evidence and you have the gall to accuse others of making baseless statements.

Is this what spending the whole day viewing Russian made memes on Facebook does to one's critical thought?

I am copying this from a poster elsewhere but it nails the EU perfectly.
The constitutional principles are really quite straightforward, but some are so obtuse or obfuscatory that they cannot bring themselves to see or say it.
1. The nation-state is primary - not any international association or treaty. Nations give rise to associations, not the other way round.
2. Governments exist only by the consent of the governed.
3. Far-reaching constitutional changes that change the fundamental nature of the state need overwhelming approval from the people. That is why, for example, in the United States a constitutional amendment needs two-thirds' approval in Congress and ratification by three-quarters of the States.
4. The profound loss of sovereignty that membership of the EU entails means a fundamental change in the nature of the state.
5. The British people have NEVER been consulted on these changes and have NEVER given their consent to them. Britain voted to join the EEC, not the EU. Maastricht, Lisbon etc were never ratified by popular vote.
6. The British people democratically voted to leave in 2016, in the face of overwhelming, public-, EU- and other-funded efforts to make them do otherwise.
7. Both Conservative and Labour stood on manifesto pledges in 2017 to leave the EU. Many candidates lied outright, breaking their solemn promise to the people.
8. The central issue has always been NATIONAL SOVEREIGNTY, not economics.

I'm not on facebook but anyway, do you deny that joining the EU caused hundreds of thousands of lost jobs in our Industries? It's an easy one. You pretend to be clever so go on, look it up.

Peugeot closed its Ryton (was Rootes Group) plant and moved production to Slovakia with EU grant.

British Army's new Ajax fighting vehicles to be built in SPAIN using SWEDISH steel at the request of the EU to support jobs in Spain with EU grant, rather than Wales.

Dyson gone to Malaysia, with an EU loan.

CI integration into Holland’s AkzoNobel with EU bank loan and within days of the merger, several factories in the UK, were closed, eliminating 3,500 jobs.

Boots sold to Italians Stefano Pessina who have based their HQ in Switzerland to avoid tax to the tune of £80 million a year, using an EU loan for the purchase.

JDS Uniphase run by two Dutch men, brought up companies in the UK with £20 million in EU 'regeneration' grants, created a pollution nightmare and just closed it all down leaving 1,200 out of work and an environmental clean-up paid for by the UK tax-payer. They also raided the pension fund and drained it dry.
