Brexit Phase Two - Trade

I agree that marginal seat holders will be worried. But that's pretty much part of the job description. Unfortunately, for me, part of the problem is the pusillanimity of the members of our 'sovereign' parliament, often putting self first, notwithstanding the tension between country/constituency/party that we've talked about before.

Possibly more than just marginal seat holders. The whole Brexit saga has demonstrated that:
  1. Some senior ministers (starting with PMTM) struggle to deal with major problems that require strategic thinking, inclusive decision making and good people management skills.
  2. Shadow ministers suffer likewise.
  3. Many MP's are not capable of independent thought and are reduced to mouthing soundbites.
I suspect more than marginal seats will be won or lost in 2022 as voters express their dissatisfaction.

Good question.

Labour has wobbled between a soft/hard left since the days of the Winter of Discontent.

Perhaps what we're seeing now is a backlash from Blair. Who was no more a labour man than I am. And I'm not.
If they did a Julius Caesar on him a bit more effectively than the ERG did against TMPM I could possibly vote for a new leader...depending on the fallout.

I respectfully suggest that all the poll shows is 210, 826 people (at the time of writing this) have actually felt strongly enough to sign this electronic petition. It may well be there are a lot more people than 1% who might actually feel strongly enough to sign this electronic petition and agree with its sentiments, but are unaware of its existence.
Yet the very large number who got off their arses to march in London are dismissed by some on this board.

You raise an interesting theory - Has this all been orchestrated to deliver Brexit, while having Mrs May as a scapegoat for any wrongness or fuckups/consequences, and thus still leaving the Tories electable?
She's better at the politics bit than the rest is all. Unfortunately politics within the Tory and Labour parties means internal politics.

And the reason there hasn't been a large march in favour of Brexit is possibly because, unlike the Remain marches, it would become a target for a black clad and masked gang of thugs intent on violence and mayhem, instead of meaningful protest. It seem you are only allowed to march peacefully if you believe in the EU/socialist dream. March with a Union Flag and you instantly become a target for Antifa.

It’s also law (probably one the UK proposed; like we proposed non-EU countries cannot be involved in Galileo...), so any whinging or bringing up emotional arguments using dead people are just more examples of victim mentality.
The EU have made clear that any travel/work restrictions imposed on their citizens will be reciprocated in kind

I wonder how Gracs is doing in his Annual Appraisal?

I wish I was doing it.
Too early champ. I can't even remember what these things are called now. I CGAF strangely enough.

If you were doing it you'd be sucking up, hoping I wasn't going to feck off contracting again and leaving you in the shite with a load of sycophants who talk a good game.
