I agree that marginal seat holders will be worried. But that's pretty much part of the job description. Unfortunately, for me, part of the problem is the pusillanimity of the members of our 'sovereign' parliament, often putting self first, notwithstanding the tension between country/constituency/party that we've talked about before.
Possibly more than just marginal seat holders. The whole Brexit saga has demonstrated that:
- Some senior ministers (starting with PMTM) struggle to deal with major problems that require strategic thinking, inclusive decision making and good people management skills.
- Shadow ministers suffer likewise.
- Many MP's are not capable of independent thought and are reduced to mouthing soundbites.
