Brexit Phase Two - Trade

As far as a future GE goes, if Corbyn sees this current fiasco as an opportunity to get Labour into power then he's a bigger idiot than I thought....and more power-hungry.

The Tories, as usual, have imploded because of intractable positions regarding Europe and as such no Remain or Leave bill will ever unite it. It's nonsensical to have a party with such a divide. Have the Unionists hived off. It'll make progress on this bugger's muddle possible.

Not very positive is it? Lots of 'probablys' in there, and this is from a Tory blog.
So this isn't the 7 page breakdown document that ERG Mark Francois has just announced will be published* to show the Nation how appalling the WA is?

*admittingy he did say 0900 Sunday 18th November.

A United Kingdom now divided along country lines, each of whom seem to have voted on differently (mostly to remain)....might as well call this Engxit...English-exit, if you consider how the different countries voted.
You'd better tell the Welsh........they seem to be under the impression they voted "leave".

ETA: posted before seeing the above.

What happens if a number of member states what to make minor changes, is the EU going to say "hard cheese" and let two years of work be for nothing?
That is not going to make the EU very popular in those Member States.
Presumably they can discuss that and any changes can be voted on according to whatever rules the EU has about what majority is required to pass. The EU seem to be presenting a united front thus far though, so I doubt there'll be much dissension in their ranks if they manage to get the UK to stick to an agreement for longer than a week...

My goodness. He's a feisty one.

Where's the UK equivalent? Not in our Govt. The nearest I can see is the bloke who stands at the end of the bar in 'Spoons.

Only the weak, feeble & inept think the UK isn't strong enough.

Politically, I agree the hypocrisy is shocking & shambolic.

Industrttmy, Trade & Business is perfectly strong, capable & ambitious enough.

Keep thinking of empire and the union jack whilst the world laughs and ready themselves for the feast.

Business doesn't want brexit

Nobody, that's who. And if the EU think that Corbyn will honour it, then they need to have a serious word with themselves.
Well not really. If GE came along what are the voting options?

Monentum, nee Labour Party, hell bent on a ruinous socialist oaradise

Lib Dems, the serially useless

Green painted Marxist eco warriors

UKIP, that we'll known busted flush

Tories, with TM

Essentially current Tory leadership relying on being the choice of those seeking least worst of the available very bad options

If Theresa May thinks that Corbyn is unelectable, that will be her biggest ever mistake.

Your last option is wrong. No way would it be Tories with "TM".

Unless May can pull something truly remarkable out of the bag in the next few months our next PM is Jeremy Corbyn. The Tories have f*cked too many people, the colossal sh*t sandwich that's probably coming for us all will be the final straw. Getting rid of May won't work because virtually every single one of the possible candidates as their next leader is also a useless bellend tainted by what they've done in this government and despised by the majority of the public.

Either May manages to deliver a Brexit that actually works without a single negative, takes a gamble on just cancelling the lot and hopes the polls about the majority now wishing to stay are right or we'll all be working in Tractor Factory No.9 by 2022. There's the UK's options...

Ok, hive off the Unionists. You would then be left two right wing parties but with Labour being the major party in Parliament and Corbyn making the journey to Buck House.

Not sure that will solve the bugger's muddle as Labour are just as, if not more, split!

Maybe a dose of hard socialism inevitably ending with a Greek style bankruptcy might kill off the idea of exceptionalism as national policy forever?

IMF handouts again and by the 2030's we can rebuild a country that has a realistic appraisal of its place in the 21C.

The media landscape will need to change in this country though
