Teresa May must go! - the EU leaders clearly have zero respect for her and know that they can do or say anything to her and she will simply cave in again.
Make no mistake, Oily Robbins, Tony Blair, Clegg, Hammond, Major etc are all actively working for the enemy to undermine the UKs negotiating position to either force a second referendum through sheer voter apathy or exhaustion or to try to stretch this out to the next GE where ALL of the mainstream political parties will ensure Brexit is either massively watered down (BRINO) or completely reversed in their manifestos.
If the stupid, useless, incompetent, arrogant, Oily Robbins sock puppet that is our current PM truly has agreed to delay Brexit by yet another year then there is now no excuse for the Tory party to not get rid of her and hold a leadership election - the current excuse of not enough time goes completely out of the window!
Even remainers need the UK to have a strong leader who has at least a modicum of respect from other national leaders and someone in charge who is prepared to put up a fight and present a confident front to the outside world. The current incumbent is a laughing stock and a national embarrassment and the only person who could conceivably be worse would be Jeremy Corbyn!
Oily Robbins needs to be shown the door asap. Raab had to fly toot sweet to Brussels last weekend to stamp on the "agreement" that Robbins and his team of civil serpents were about to sign off.

The man is a huge liability and yet another example of May's inability to choose competent advisers.

Looks like Mrs May has signalled that she is willing to extend the transition period by a year. Let's see how that goes down in parliament.

It would be fine provided we stop paying any monies to Brussels and stood down from accepting judgements from the ECJ. If we stopped paying monies to Brussels then they would very quickly come to an agreement in the hope they would really open the treasury. It is only money, our money, that is keeping this process going.
But it is all"if", in relation to a backstop which may not be needed AIUI.

I refer you to my previous post and add

that cod psychoanalysis is always funny to see, especially when directed at oneself by someone who has never met the person they're talking about.
I'm sure someone will be along to mention 'cognitive dissonance' in a minute :)

He's a nice fellow. Very bright and not at all senile.
Did you put any thought into that one liner?

You put me in mind of the last lines of an old ditty...
You can tell a man who boozes, by the company he chooses,
and the pig got up and slowly walked away.

In a way that would make just as much sense if they replaced cognitive dissonance with sausage.

Brexit means Brexit. Eventually, to me it’s a storm in a tea cup, TM knows it’s going pear shaped and there is nothing she can do about it. The EU will stick to their battle plan of making it all out to be our fault, while putting up the walls.

That’s the problem with building a wall. Unless you have a gate you can’t get out.

Amazing that in spite of the catastrophic effects of brexit upon the economy and on our political credibility, the turkeys who voted for xmas still want it. Are they demented, ignorant, stupid or ill?

I reckon PMTM is doing this very deliberately and am impressed that she is still on the tightrope.

May is floundering around and unable to come to terms with the fact that the terms the EU want to impose on the UK will not get through the Commons - i.e. Chequers Mk 1, 2 and 3 are dead.

She now needs to acknowledge that her entire negotiating strategy has been a disaster and that she needs to prepare for either Canada Plus or a hard Brexit.

Acknowledging the above (and taking into account her 2017 GE cock-up), would be tantamount to admitting her entire premiership has been a disaster. Hence May clutching at straws like extending the transition period for a year.
