Brexit Phase Two - Trade

It's not anywhere near as big as the presence of a certain civil aerospace company in the UK.

Brexit is a net loss for UK aerospace, regardless of what trifles the Americans throw our way.

Also consider the impact of brexit on the defence budget with a shrinking tax revenue.

The Americans will soon pull away if can't buy enough kit
Money is made in through-life support contracts, not equipment sales.

Mmmmm...Boeing....Lockheed Martin....guuuuuuuuuuuuuuud. EU firms baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaad....

“Grayling is employing Singham for his insider knowledge and the fact that he has a seat at the table steering the direction of Brexit. Of course their corporate clients are going to benefit from this hire. That's how the commercial lobbying business operates.

“That this doesn’t strike the Department of International Trade as a clear conflict of interest is worrying. It is reminiscent of another adviser to Liam Fox that was also funded by an opaque web of private money.

Baggy, think about which British military aircraft are manufactured by Boeing and then think about all the investment that they are making in the UK to provide deep engineering support to those aircraft. It runs a long way north of tens of millions. If we buy the E-7 Wedgetail it will get even bigger...
That deep engineering support would exist whoever provided the capability, yes it provides valuable local investment and support, but ultimately the profits head over the Atlantic.

That's not to suggest any UK company offered a better package.

As against the saintly Airbus where the profits from their less than stellar products head back over the Channel.

She epitomises so much of what is wrong in society today, the coarsening of society by a type who think they know everything and alternative views are not to be debated, but seen as dangerous or unacceptable. Fine for the armed forces which has to maintain complete unity of command, but not for political discourse.

One only has to see the dripping sarcasm of Graculus and Baglocks poison, to understand why Brexit simply can't work.

Back on topic; What I can't understand about TMPM, is she wanted to get to the summer recess. Why ? what makes it so important she gets to stay leader over the summer.

Surely given the gravity of the situation, why is a recess happening at all, did the commons have a recess during other times of crisis. Or, is it all part of Project Delay, to ensure nobody can get in the way of the October sell out ??

Sure champ, if you'd have been here to stop idiots calling others quislings and traitors, if you'd spoken up when TMPM tried to usurp the sovereignty of parliament , if you could provide links to claims about what you say others have said....you might just have an ounce of credibility.

Instead you rely on emotive rhetoric. In short, you weren't here, you didn't speak up and you can't provide links. You shot your credibility to pieces on TR and are doing nothing to recover it so far.

Give the man a coconut, only its not to be referred to as a sell out. It's giving the people what they want. Brexit. Honest.

Someone else who talks a good game...

You've confused databases with data. HTH.

So we'll not get to access how the data is stored and manage cross referenced searches and the like. We'll have to ask officer Klutz our ILO, who isn't in today because he trapped in Heaven...

You can't find any posts from me saying "there would be no access to data" can you? Even though you put it in quotes to imply that was what I said. Glad we have that sorted though. Always happy to help.
You could've saved yourself time and pixels by just saying you meant no direct access to data.

The Internet would go into meltdown were you and John G ever to indulge in simultaneous pedantry.
