Arrogant ignorant weasels, 10 mths left of paying EU subs or time to turn the fiscal tap off in No Deal.
you would think so, but, c’est Europa!Has it been fished out? Is that what quotas were meant to prevent?
They would very much prefer the United Kingdom to stumble in any way, no matter how small, thus enabling them to pontificate and gloat on the wonders of the morally insolvent eu.It's all a bit sad watching the Remainers continuing to fight their lost cause.
There isn't going to be another EU referendum, there isn't going to be legislation to overturn the referendum result; there is a very good chance that as we approach December the EU will receive the BFO letter from Boris bidding them the final farewell aka the bum's rush.
I just wonder at what point they will realise the futility of their pixel killing.
YepThis is why the EU are so desperate to get their hands on our fish... they’ve destroyed their fisheries
Looking at it over-simplistically, were EU trawlers to be banned from UK waters, UK trawlers could be allowed to catch another 200,000 tons of fish, while the remaining now uncaught 500,000 tons of fish stock would be a major contribution to allowing fish stocks to recover. Then, a few years hence, we could be looking at UK trawlers being allowed to catch an additional 25,000 tones of fish every few years....more than 700,000 tonnes of fish and shellfish are caught each year by EU boats in UK waters, resulting in UK boats catching 40 percent of the tonnage of fish caught in British waters. By comparison it is reported that, in 2015, only 16 per cent of fish and shellfish landed by UK vessels was caught in other EU member states’ waters which could indicate why some UK fishermen feel like this isn’t a fair deal.
Time to declare our waters a marine reserve. We will of course compensate our fishermen handsomely.Yep

The f-up that the EU fishing rules have become should not be a surprise. With control now residing with Brussels, not individual nation states, politics takes precedence over a sustainable fishing policy. With EU trawlers shut out of UK waters, Westminster has the opportunity to manage our fish stocks so that they recover and - in parallel - allow steadily increasing and sustainable catches in the future.
Funny isn’t it that our differences to the mainstream EU were always held up as an example of the UK as the “Awkward Squad,” never quite committing, never quite fitting in.The only way France would agree with that is if the EU moved to Strasbourg permanently.
as @Wordsmith notes, we can do both and have the best of both worlds.Time to declare our waters a marine reserve. We will of course compensate our fishermen handsomely.
Exactly. And it's not like he's been shy about setting it out. Given that why they've gone with what they have as Yerps to big brane negotiators I'm at a loss as their negotiating position couldn't be worse for them and better for us if Cummings had written it as a press release for the Telegraph.BoJo's already made his negotiating strategy clear.
They're faced with a BoJo that knows if he makes Brexit work, he's a 2 or 3 term prime minister. And still thinking they can treat him like May.
- Sign trade deals with other countries
- Ask the EU for a decent FTA while sweetly explaining to them the lack of one will result in the EU being pushed out of the UK market.
Tesla: German court halts work on new 'Gigafactory'
Tesla has been ordered to temporarily halt preparations for a car factory in Germany after environmentalists won a court injunction on Sunday.
Nice to see we're still causing them problems too:What one of the remainiac automotive moonhowlers was previously shouting about Tesla setting up in the EU as a slap in the teeth for the UK ?
Have a read, whatever one it was.
All that climate change, carbon neutral crap is going to cause mayhem
