Bramley Training Area

Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Whilst on exercise there a couple of weeks back I noticed an asbestos riddled hut that apparently was a TA centre. Anybody know which Regiment it belonged to. I assume Royal Berkshire, Wiltshire etc. Also anybody know when the Americans pulled out of there?
  2. dunno but I have been there on a few exercises. Allegedly it was a dumping ground for loads of mustard gas from the first world war and, again allegedly, is slowly seeping through the ground which is why we were told NOT to put earth spikes, antennae spikes into the ground or to dig it up.

Funnily enough, off there in a couple of weeks. Can't wait !!
  3. It's the weekend "them". The cadet place round the corner is Rifles/guards/REME.
  4. The TA centre is outside the training area and now belongs to 21SAS. The previous occupant were RAuxAF (possibly RAF regiment). The asbestos hut is called the hall and can be booked by training area users, military and civilian.

  5. Don't forget the Scrapheap Challenge tour!
