When you post stuff to the Military Sections in Ebay, it dosn't appear on the site stright away, usually takes 24 hours or so to appear! Now me bing the trusting kind...... I asked a "friend" in London what was happening, and he said that the MOD have a direct link to Ebay, where they are checking who is selling what equipment, and for what price?

Am i missing the point, who would want to buy it, what else does it fit?
The point is why is so called A1 serviceable kit being sold on ebay when it is still in service?

Can someone tell me what it is he is selling as I cannot get ebay out here due to the web police restrictions (no Porn, gambling, auctions, games etc etc).

How come this stuff is surplus? Do the army have so much money that they buy extra kit so someone can swipe it?

There is no officially sanctioned 'surplus' Bowman kit, I assure you. GD(UK) can't even deliver the bare essentials, let alone give it away to be sold on e-Bay.

I can guarantee this will not be available for much longer.

PB - nice avatar - get your own.

Are you sure this isn't an urban myth? So you are saying all the military antiques that are put on ebay are trawelled through by the MoD? What if you don't put in the military section? What if the seller is registered with eBay.com in the US, even though they live in the UK?

There are the eBay fun police who look at items and if they think it causes offence, then it's taken off. As I found out when I tried to sell a 1912 UVF armband. I was told it was offensive and worn by an extreme organisation!! In 1912 I think not. Anyway, thats not what the post is about so I'll shut up.
