Bounty Hunters in the UK?

Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. I'm sat here watching "Midnight Run" and I got to thinking why doesn't the UK have Bounty Hunters. The police are always complaining about being under resourced so why not sub contract out a bit of work.
    Any Legal Eagles know?

  2. Who remembers 15-20 years ago the 'peace keeping' gang from New York (complete with street gear, red berets and black power attitude) that was employed to patrol and reduce crime (i.e. victimise) on the London Underground? They were not welcome and lasted a day if memory serves me.

  3. Were they not called the Angels.

  4. Bounty Hunters? Half the RLC TA...

It's alright, I'll get my own coat...

  5. Gurdian Angels. Their head honcho received a beating and went home I believe.

  6. I rememeber the "Guardian Angels", more vigilanties with bad dress sense than bounty hunters.

  7. Beat me to that one.

  8. Spot on LVH. I didn't realise they were still patrolling London. I would think they'd be a target for gangs wanting a pop.

  9. why would you need hunters?
Surely a young girls comic like The Bunty would be easy to find at any news agents?
