Funny old game isn't it? The only people claiming to not know what a sock account always seem to be sock accounts. Just like despite joining last month they all seem to be experts on what x or y poster said in 2012.
"There are no socks here!"

Today's CV-19 briefing have unsurprisingly been about one man, rather than the 65 million others in the country. The medical adviser made the very good point that all advice had a common sense element built in.

There is no way the media are going to let this go. The rest of us can curl up and die but to the media this is the most important issue the country is facing at the moment.

Fücking vultures the lot of them.

All we have to do is wait until a coloured person has their feelings hurt thousands of miles away. This will then become international news and Mr Cummings will be off the hook.

What a sad world the media are corralling us into.

Yup...

... She was backed by First Minister Nicola Sturgeon, who said Dr Calderwood had made a mistake but should stay in her job.

She only resigned when her position became untenable by virtue of being less than truthful about her 'visits' to her second home

Personally, I think Cummings should do the right thing and resign but there is a world of difference between a Government‘s Chief Medical Adviser, The senior BTP officer and and a back room SPAD who is a target for all the woke press.
Fixed

Where did you hear that? Obviously not in today's briefing. Are you hearing voices again? :pc:

In today’s briefing. It was stated quite clearly that we don’t have to stick to the guidelines if we don’t feel like it.
It didn't say that at all. Perhaps you could give me the quote where that was said.

It's people like you and the media who are clouding issues and talking about mixed messages. Keep it simple … you don't like what he did. Tough $hit

Dr Jenny Harries stated: “All of the guidance has a common sense element”

It is therefore up to every individual to decide whether the guidelines apply to them or not.

By definition, lockdown no more.

People like me are the ones clouding the issues? What utter bollocks. I’m not the one who broke the guidelines then made special pleadings.

The guidance states:

“If you are living with children. Keep following this advice to the best of your ability, however, we are aware that not all these measures will be possible. What we have seen so far is that children with coronavirus (COVID-19) appear to be less severely affected. It is nevertheless important to do your best to follow this guidance.”

What part of the guidance did he break?

What part of the guidance did he break? Seriously? All of the following for a start.

You should only leave or be away from your home for very limited purposes:

  • shopping for basic necessities, for example food and medicine, which must be as infrequent as possible
  • one form of exercise a day, for example a run, walk, or cycle - alone or with members of your household
  • any medical need, including to donate blood, avoid injury or illness, escape risk of harm, or to provide care or to help a vulnerable person
  • travelling for work purposes, but only where you cannot work from home

if you live with others and you are the first in the household to have symptoms of coronavirus (COVID-19), then you must stay at home for at least 7 days, but all other household members who remain well must stay at home and not leave the house for 14 days. The 14-day period starts from the day when the first person in the house became ill.

If possible, you should not go out even to buy food or other essentials, and any exercise should be taken within your home.

As it was the Transport Secretary taking the briefing, it was a pity that all the questions were taken up with Cummings, and nobody thought to ask about your BTS bobby.

you see it’s funny isn’t it. On the one hand no one is shouting about the fact the French May be exporting Covid to Britain as allegedly stated by Nigel Farage and the apparent implications for our health, the media have to squabble over what Cummings did two months ago. I wonder if the the FS will tell us what he is proposing to do about French connivance ridding France of their problem

Is there a version of this in English?

I would say a young child is a vulnerable person, especially if both parents have been affected by a possibe deadly infection.
